NASA, thanks $60 billion for NADA Strapping a plane to humongous fossil fuelled rockets and launching them into space is akin to chucking a spear after drinking a red bull. Even a school kid can see a giant leap in technology is needed (to construct spaceships IN space) to make space travel viable. This is way beyond NASA's wildest dreams right now. Obama spelled this out in diplomatic terms, the US economy is too shafted to waste billions for little or no return like the LHC at C.E.R.N has.
