3G Watchdog Pro - Data Usage

3G Watchdog Pro - Data Usage

3G Watchdog Pro monitors your Mobile and WiFi Internet data usage:

* Mobile (4G/3G/Edge/GPRS...), roaming & WiFi usage counting
* Advanced data usage prediction
* Billing rules (counts in blocks, ignores uploads, exclude apps, exclude time periods, do not count 2G or 4G)
* Usage history with graph & CSV export
* Usage by application (Android 2.2+, unavailable on Dell Streak)
* Real Time traffic graphs (local, roaming and WiFi)
* Alerts & optional auto-disable of mobile network
* Data usage widget (2 sizes / 5 styles). Mobile network enable/disable widget (Android 2.3 - 4.4).
* Backup/restore with optional auto-backup
* "Holo" user interface
* Account per SIM with auto switch (requires a phone with a SIM - WARNING! may not work well with dual-SIM phones).
* Import settings & data from 3GW free (don't uninstall 3GW free before importing!)

Translated in over 20 languages.

KNOWN PROBLEMS:

* On Android 5.0+ the "Disable mobile network" function does not work (the mobile data switch widget and the auto-disable feature are both affected). This is because on Lollipop the enable/disable function is no longer accessible to third-party apps.

* Doesn't count properly global usage on Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and 8.9 - this problem affects other data counting applications as well and is caused by a bug on the tablet itself. You may try to check the "Calculate global usage from usage by app" advanced option as a possible workaround (feedback welcome).

* Doesn't count properly global mobile usage on Samsung Galaxy R / Z (i9103) and possibly Galaxy Y. Problems were also reported with the Captivate Glide. Same workaround as for the Galaxy Tab (see above).

Greate app. HTC Desire.

Been using this for a very long time on my Samsung Captivate and now Galaxy Note and it's been measuring data flow very accurately. One of my favorite and frequently appreciated apps.

Very good app, but it seems it may have a bug where the counter becomes inaccurate if you tend to disable data access. I disable access to save bandwidth and 3G Watchdog is showing that I used 600MB more than what Verizon reports. LG Ally

Great app! Been using it for long and I'm extremely satisfied. Only grudge is the ui.. looks too dated. Any plans to incorporate the material design?

The perfect one Very responsive author. All (few) known (to me) issues have been fixed. Very clever and logical interface, plenty of customizations and virtually no bugs in the long run. Very precise statistics. It just works. It's very uncommon lately to find so well working app.

Not only does watchdog pro helps me from going over every month on my data, but it helps me see what data certain apps use.

Almost there (edited) Would be perfect if not for problems. I paid for this because it should be the best in its class. But whenever I try to open it, it lags and the "wait" symbol rotates for a looong time, sometimes it opens th emain screen, sometimes it just hangs there. Also, which is more disturbing - no matter what Update freq I set, the widget doesn't update in a timely fashion. This is a great bug. I set 5 minutes frequency, the widget doesn't update in even 15 minutes, the same for 1min frequency. Very bad. If I open the program, then the widget updates right away. Please fix this, I cannot trust this program's widget readings! EDIT: Turns out the problem was by oversight - a bit confusing interface. Now it works as normal. EDIT2: very responsive author. All known (to me) bugs have been fixed :) .
