Don't waste your time on this player. The user interface for this player is well thought out. I really wanted it to work but it is broken in so many ways: - Does not detect changes in files, even when you rescan. - Even after a data purge it immediately started getting confused again. - Displays the wrong album cover, even though the mp3s are correct. - Very narrow file type support and likes to skip valid songs other players play flawlessly. - Randomly stops playing and seems to think songs are longer than they are. This was not file/tag corruption. - Steering wheel buttons slow to respond, fails to respond or even crashes player. - mp3 tag handling is extremely poor. Even a single character in tags which doesn't like and that song and EVERY song after it with be displayed in random Chinese symbols. That is "Non-Ascii charset support"? Really? - I wanted to set a bunch of options once and shuffle play on launch. It forgets all my settings between each session and cannot start playing on launch. Fusion player was best free one I could fine but I will likely pay $2 for Car Tunes Music Player. I just wish I had done this before wasting a good part of my weekend on this player.

Unneeded and Cumbersome #1 Groms interface is as promised. But This is a poorly made app that has the functionality of a travel coffee without a top. It merely functions with phone storage, but not the SD card where I put my media. It has not controlled my phone as thought and I have wasted much more than a couple of hours trying to do so. Get this app out of the playstore before some else spends their time diddling away. This app is a clone of the worst music app ever. The Worst Ever.

AALINQ & GROM AND2 Save yourself the headache, time and money... The install of the GROM unit itself is simple but can be time consuming if you don't want cables strewn about your car. The AALINQ interface is big and easy to use BUT like most everyone elses experience is glitchy. Using a Nexus 5 w/ Android 4.4.4 the audio output volume is ridiculously low (has only matched the car stereo's volume once), constantly cuts off the first few seconds of each song, and randomly crashes requiring a restart and reinstall. No wonder GROM's site doesn't even have a working link to AALINQ. I'd be embarrassed too!
