TRANSLATIONS
native language support for around 30 languages. Those are mostly user-contributed, please contact me if there is a bad translation or you'd like your language added!

PERMISSIONS
aCalendar only asks for mandatory permissions for its functionality: Read and write contact data for birthdays as well as read and write calendar data for events. 'Send Email to guests' is bound to 'write calendar data' by Google. NFC is for sharing events by touching another NFC-enabled phone, and requires manual confirmation.

APP2SD
Unfortunately app2SD cannot be supported, because homescreen widgets do not work from SD. This is an Android limitation. But aCalendar is optimized not only for speed but also for size.

LOVE
♥ aCalendar is made with love, sweat and tears in the heart of Munich. If you like aCalendar, please rate or comment and recommend it to your friends. Also consider upgrading to aCalendar+ for extra features ♥

aCalendar is free and will stay free and ad-free. No features will be taken away, but some advanced calendar features might only come to aCalendar+.

User reviews of aCalendar - Android Calendar
Good calendar,EXCEPT while it synchs with google calendar,I cannot get it to give audible notifications on my Android, even though the phone setting are enabled. As a result I have missed events. Otherwise ok, but I wish I could get it to work on notifications.

Not a bad calendar app with some good ideas like one page one day with a month calendar on the right along with "all day" items. I'm going back to the stock calendar, as the agenda is better in Jelly Bean and easier to read without glasses.

Goede app, alleen jammer dat er geen eindtijd van de afspraak in de widget wordt getoond.

I love this calendar. Been using it for awhile. No color options, but it's clean looking and transitions easily from one view to another. "All day" tasks were a little glitchy but recently fixed. Syncs great with my Google calendar. Just love it. For the widget complainers, etc....it is the best app available (and it is free)! Works great! No ads! Get over it!

Best organiser I love the fact that this app is so simple, and yet so efficient. Love the color- coded event organiser! Helped me a lot. Would definitely recommend it to anyone who needs a practical app to organize their time!

Easy to use, but... Event colors are only available on server-based calendar events, such as your Google+ calendar. I prefer to use the device calendar, and those events do not have the color palette. Edit: Did you read what I wrote about device calendars? I re-installed the app, created a device-only event, and the color palette disappeared as soon as I chose device rather than server. I am looking at the event and the FAQ pages. Unless the premium version gives you more abilities than the free, there is NO way to change the color of a device only event. Since that is what I wanted to test with the free version, and it doesn't have it, I am not going to buy the paid app and hope that it has it. I found other apps that do allow coloring of device-only events. Developer does not understand the difference between a device versus server calendar, apparently. Uninstalled.

Ever since Google changed their calendar app and doesn't let phone users see a true month view with the color coded events listed, i have been looking for a different calendar app. This is definitely the one. I love it.

Don't like that I Must be connected to emal. I'll give you 5 since am new at this. And that's what you want. Trying again will report back, 1star for now...ok. I have tried approximate 99% of Calendars for Android. Was using Jorte for several months, but acting up now, so need to change. Am settling on this one for now.

Very nice calendar It does everything I can think of use for at the moment, but the default font color can't be set. You have to pick the font color all the time if you like to see your text in dark color.
