Calendar from Android 4.1

Calendar from Android 4.1

UPDATES: This is now superfluous. I suggest you download "Google Calendar" instead which is basically the same thing but up-to-date. I won't update this any more.

---------------

News everyone! Google have now released their own copy of this app on the market ("Google Calendar"). Since they are essentially identical, I might remove this one in future.

"Awesome", I thought, "Samsung have finally upgraded my phone to Android 4! Let me check out the new calen... waiiit a minute! This is just the old calendar! Damn you Samsuuunnnggg!!!" *Shakes fist!*

This is the stock calendar from Android 4.0 Jellybean! Sadly I had to disable a few new features from Jellybean that don't work on ICS.

There are no ads or donate banners. If you want to send me donations (via paypal to [email protected], or via the app "Donate to Tim Hutt") that would be great! Fixing this so it compiles is not completely trivial.

Known bugs:

* Some people don't see any events in the week/day views. This doesn't seem to be easy to fix, sorry.
* Sometimes events don't sync properly. I'm not sure why this happens either, sorry.

Recent changes:
4.1.1-4

* Widget should update correctly now. (Thanks for testing Kim)

4.1.1-2

* Fixed agenda view! Sorry about that! (Thanks Tom)

4.1.1-1

* Update to Jellybean.
* Disable "custom app button" which doesn't work on ICS.
* Disable the fancy "today" icon which doesn't work on ICS.
* I think they changed notifications in some ways. I haven't really tested them, sorry!

Ahhhhhh... Haven't tested if all the functions work, but I've missed this old thing. The widget is better than all other calendars out there. Way to go.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Although sleeker in design, I am not really happy with the up-to-date version of the Google Calendar. This version here is the one I grew to love, and I am very happy to have found it for my new phone. Thank you very much for all the work you put into this!

Superb Calendar - not 'superfluous', Tim! Just "upgraded" the software of my Moto G to 5.0.2 and instantly regretted it - the CRUCIAL calendar is illegible because of over-bright colours. Thank goodness this Calendar is still available : clear WHITE type on easy-on-the-eye colours make this a real winner. Adding an event is so simple, whereas it's a fiddly process on the "new" Google Calendar - especially trying to set Reminders for an event is a real "pain"... except on this App, Tim. The only option which seems not to show is
