It DOES work but you have to remove app from your screen, then re-add using this app. Would be nice if you could change name and re-add in one fell swoop.

Works in Samsung Galaxy Dduos 3 It works as developer defined. But it doesnt solve my purpose.. It renames the application name & place it on home screen but doesnt remove original application from application list from desktop.. further when we run renamed application from home scteen..original application name appears on the screen..Although developer not claimed to give such features in this application bt without these featutes thid program is incomplete... Srry bt i m uninstalling..

Read all reviews before deciding! Update (again): works sluggish on my Moto G now... 5 to 4 stars. Those of you not familiar with basic file renaming, you have to realize that apps showing on the home screen are, in fact, SHORTCUTS. Use this app RENAME the app you want, then select to place the shortcut on the home screen. The beauty of it is, it uses the app's icon. I even tested it by restarting my phone; all good!
