Aqua Mail - email app

Aqua Mail - email app

AquaMail is an email app for Internet and Exchange mail, for Android 2.1 and higher.

Easy automatic setup for popular email services: Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, FastMail, Apple mail services (@me.com / @mac.com), GMX, AOL, and more. Recognizes mail accounts at domains hosted by Google Apps, Yahoo BizMail, and others.

Works with many other email services via standard Internet email protocols (IMAP, POP3, SMTP) as well as Microsoft’s EWS (Exchange Web Services) protocol.

Microsoft Exchange is supported via IMAP or EWS. EWS includes access to server side contacts (personal and global, with lookup), and accepting meetings that can later be viewed in Outlook and other apps.

Easy automatic setup for Office 365 and Exchange Online.

Push mail for IMAP (instant incoming email delivery) for those servers that support the IDLE extension (Gmail, GMX, AOL… not supported by Yahoo).

Plays well with other email apps that you may be using to access your IMAP or EWS mailbox. Uses existing folder structure, can synchronize drafts, sent, and deleted messages.

Widgets (message counts, message list).

Swiping in message list (actions) and between messages (both new in 1.5.0, which is in a staged rollout, not visible from every device yet).

Can save attachments on the memory card.

Message auto-fit (like in Gmail) on Android 4.0 and above.

Rich text formatting when writing messages (including embedding pictures).

Integration with Tasker (change settings, trigger mail check, message based events).

Integration with Light Flow, Enhanced SMS & Caller ID, Cloud Print, Apex Launcher Pro, Nova Launcher / Tesla Unread, Executive Assistant, DashClock Widget.

Lots of settings to configure the application just the way *you* would like. Separate settings for WiFi and mobile connections.

This is the Lite version, which is limited to two accounts, no identities, and adds a promo signature to all outgoing messages with a link to the program's web site.

You can add more than two accounts, use identites, and remove the signature by purchasing the Pro key here on Market at any time.

User reviews of Aqua Mail - email app
1/5/2013 Only use this with one account however the app works great. Simple. Sleek. No force close errors. Plenty of options for syncing & with mail options in general. Nice clean interface. Emails display quickly with attachments on separate panel to the right. Plenty of options. Can backup settings to SD card. Like the app. Will probably end up getting the pro key at some point. Recommended :)

Some days uses 2gb of data+constantly causing screen to freeze Constantly causing screen to freeze. Has used up 2gb of data throughout night when did not touch the phone once. Keeps doing this and is unpredictable. Checks email when it wants to n9t when it's set to. really need spam folder too. Am sick of this so am uninstalling, even tho this means I won't be able to properly read my emails as Samsung won't load them properly. Layout+settings r good.

Please get rid of bottom bar Love this app but I hate the bottom bar taking up space. I've got the LG G3 with a massive screen & don't like anything getting in the way of what's on my screen. Most email & message apps now include functions in a long press instead of having a navigation bar. This is more in line with the Android UI. Please include long press functions & let us get rid of this ugly bar!

Why must I enter my name?? I want to be able to send anonymous emails without my name showing up. This app forces you to enter a name when adding accounts and that gets submitted when emailing someone. No other email app does this. I know I don't have to put my real name but say I want to email someone twice, anonymously, they would know it's from the same person by seeing the same "from" name.
