Stop Press - Now with 6 unique bonus levels!
The 1980's introduced us to some classic arcade games such as Space Invaders, Scramble, Asteroids, Defender, Moon Cresta, Pac-Man, Donkey Kong and Battlezone with their immersive gameplay, cutting-edge graphics and frantic green on black action. In what I hope is a fitting tribute to these I bring you ArseDroids (or AssDroids if you live in the land of the free).
So pull your phone out of your pocket, grab your tablet from your rucksack or extricate your OUYA from behind the telly and let's see if that ultra-modern slab of technology can cope with some good old raster graphics.
ArseDroids has full multi-touch controls so you can move your little ship and press fire at the same time but for a nostalgic trip back to the good old days (well, the old days anyway) you can plug in a joystick and enjoy the game with all the added worry of whether your Bluetooth or On-the-go cable is working correctly. Xperia Play owners can sit pretty and look smug at this point.
Featuring amazing bonus levels where you fly through a giant asteroid and take in the breathtaking scenery while using all the thrust you can muster to avoid the grip of its deadly walls which instantly frag your ship into a million tiny pieces on the slightest contact.
The free version of this app includes some messages from the game's sponsors but you can remove these and reclaim those precious pixels whilst also supporting the developer who lives in a cardboard box in the middle of the road by clicking the in-game button to buy the full app. This will take you to the Google Play store where you can spend your well earned pennies/cents etc on something completely frivolous.
Take out 2012 DA14 before it takes out you!
Any similarities to any of the 80's games mentioned above are purely coincidental.
