First and foremost I would like to thank you for taking the time to view my work. It is every artist’s joy to have his work viewed, studied, interpreted, but most of all, appreciated. It is true what they say, we pour our hearts out onto the canvas.

My name is Juan Ernesto Dávila and I was born June 30, 1978 in the city of San Juan, Texas. Growing up in the Rio Grande Valley I acquired an appreciation for art in all styles and am glad that I have managed to retain it, though now in the form of digital art.

I was recently asked the following question. What do you know that does not change? Believing that I was a clever one I answered that my beliefs do not change, but I then realized that I was not born believing the things I believe now. So too, then, has my philosophy has changed.

Just like my philosophy my skills and tastes have changed, as well. In each image I have attempted to give the viewer some added insight. The added text accompanying the images are meant to add depth and shed light as to how I think and feel about certain topics. It is not expected that everyone share my opinions, however I do hope to be responsible for making you think and question the world around you, even if just slightly.

Always grateful,
Juan
