Asset Survey

Asset Survey

This application is part of the OTISS survey system, and is used by Estate Owners and their staff to carry out surveys on outdoor assets (park & street furniture, field assets, etc) and also for tree safety surveys. This app and your GPS-enabled android phone or tablet is an alternative to buying specialised and expensive survey equipment for on-site data collection.

The AssetSurvey app works with the www.otiss.co.uk website to provide a range of maps and tools for carrying out asset and tree safety surveys, management and report generation. All users must first register for an account on the OTISS website. A free 30 day evaluation period is allowed, after which an annual subscription will be charged for continued use of the OTISS system - see the OTISS website for more details. Note: this AssetSurvey application is free to download, evaluate and use – no charges are made to your phone or Android market accounts.

The OTISS system works as follows. (i) First, a survey is created on the OTISS website. (ii) The AssetSurvey app is then used to download the survey to the Android device. (iii) The app is used to carry out the survey by placing trees, assets and furniture on the map and entering inspection data. (iv) The survey data is then sync’ed back to the OTISS website. (v) OTISS website provides tools to view, modify, analyse and generate reports on the collected inspection data.

Recent changes:
New in V1.9.5:
1) When adding a new item, the tag/reference field is automatically filled in with the next tag number.
2) Each estate can now have its own list of tree species - in addition to the standard OTISS species.
3) Each estate can now define and configure its own set of asset categories and types.
4) And a few other minor tweaks.

Please note: Android V3.x and V2.x will be supported with the current set of features, but new features will only be available on Android V4.x devices.
