User reviews of BackCountry Nav Topo Maps GPS
Excellent trail and tracking app. Haven't found a better one for Android. Downloading maps for off-network use is simplest I've seen. Customer support is very responsive with ongoing frequent updates as well.

Laggy, not very interactive, has trouble loading maps at times. In no way is this worth $10.

Simply WOW I have hundreds of dollars worth of dedicated GPS device with software, cables, antennas, mounts, etc. in a box in my basement. At least I think it's still down there. I don't really care. Backcountry Navigator let my phone replace it all.

Why bother paying 12 bucks for this? I was about to buy this thinking "cool a google tracks replacement" so I installed the demo and tried it on my next hike only to learn its pretty much useless. I'll just stick with my free google tracks app. It tracks speed, elevation, and actually logs your track on a gps. Glad I tried the demo before wasting money on this app

Mapping app of choice. Does mostly what you want extremely well. I mostly like the constant little tweaks and improvements.

The Best Choice I tried a few and went on to purchase the full app - had it well over a year now. I use it for hiking and ski touring mainly. It really could be the death of the standalone GPS device!

Perfect outdoors GPS/Mapping app This program is awesome for camping, hiking, or hunting. I would suggest an ETA on the stat screen when using the goto function.
