My favorite app Works very well. Adds to my confidence when I'm in the wilderness because I always know where I am. I was considering buying a dedicated hiking GPS device but tried this first. Backcountry Navigator Pro suits my needs perfectly. I only had one issue involving the Accuterra maps. I sent an email to the developer and received a response from Nathan within the hour. Btw the problem cleared up that day. Highly recommend.

Superior App It's been a few years now and I've had many good times that Backcountry Navigator helped make even better! I love this app, and I'm purchasing an Android Wear Watch today so hope to see more progress in that direction. There is only one location I've visited that I couldn't find a map for, and that's Attu, the Westernmost point of North America in the Aleutian Islands. 5 stars and cheers to Backcountry Navigator!

Great app and customer support Great app with the best support I've seen for any app. Avid outdoorsman so I'm always using maps and GPS. I went from Android to iPhone and back to Android and this app was one of the reasons. Unfortunately you have to pay for more maps than before but that's not the fault of the app developer. You get what you pay for these days.

Fantastic map app with a very diverse selection of maps This has been a fantastic purchase that I've used for several years for all of the following: Snowshoeing - including several trips into the British Columbia backcountry, Hiking - just like snowshoeing, Backcountry Skiing, Backroad driving, Cycling, both on the roads and off them. There are a great deal of maps available, just some of my favourites are: OpenStreetMap, CalTopo's scanned maps (which are great for BC), Canada Toprama, NRCan (Natural Resources Canada), Multimap (United Kingdom Ordinance Survey Explorer Maps) and there are many more. Honestly, I will never be short at least some sort of map. Further, the simple power of downloading maps for offline use is incredibly useful and can add a use to your phone you just didn't expect to be using it for. Recommended!

Great App - one of the best in my toolbox....phone I have been using Backcountry Navigator for hiking and biking, however, I just pressed it into another sport - skiing. We were up in Steamboat for the past few days and I thought I would start recording a track for the entire day. At the end of the day I had a complete trail map of everything we skied including all of the stats. I didn't pause when riding the lifts, but could have also done that so as not to have added in their data. I will also use it during my AT ski trips this year. I have it on a S
