Banshee Remote

Banshee Remote

Control Banshee on Linux using an Android powered device. Usage instructions at http://www.dartmouth.edu/~nstamato/android.html

** This project is open source and people should feel free to contribute if they can. The source code for the app and the banshee extension can be found at the banshee-community-extensions git project: https://gitorious.org/banshee-community-extensions. I rarely have the time to contribute to this much more, so I am not sure how many updates and feature requests and I can provide **

Recent changes:
Removed the port 7 dependency to get through the firewall. Opening port 8484 should now be enough.

Nice one. It is fairly basic in functionality, but it works, which is nice. A worthwhile pet project to take up. Thanks.

Thank you!! I am so happy to see someone developing mobile apps that are compatible with Linux. Thank you so very much! I agree that it is a bit advanced for those new to the OS, but it works. Keep it up!!!

Good start This lightweight application is very useful. But maybe for better user experience I hope it'll keep in standby mode (and minimized) after I close the main window. I also noticed it asks me to make sure banshee database is on my SD card while I have no option to check it directly from the application. I think this issue is come with Android recent permission to write the SD card. IMHO, it'll be better if user could choose where to put the DB.

Has everything you are looking for in a remote app. After just a few configurations, everything works as it should. It has everything essential you'd expect to have in a remote.
