Based on many of the ideas put forth by Brian Eno, bass bender was built to explore methods of synthesis control that are more intuitive and feel based, and less number and knob based.
Synthesizer interfaces of the past have used very little of the human body's physical, muscle based intuition, instead relying on knobs that only allow one aspect of sound to be changed at any one time.
This directly contradicts the way acoustical instruments are played, where simple hand movements change multiple facets of the sound all at once, providing an infinite palette of unique sonic texture.
By using a unique touch interface, some of this feel based control is brought back into the world of digital.
● All changes to the sound are represented pictorially instead of numerically, lending to a much more natural style of sound manipulation.
● Touch movements are automatically recorded and looped back, allowing the creator to sit back, listen and enjoy.
● Real time generative looping FM synthesizer with wide spacial panning effects.
