Best WIFI

Best WIFI

Do you have a WiFi extender in your home or office, or even a second WiFi Access Point Name (APN)? You do? Then ‘Best WiFi’ is for you!

‘Best WiFi’ is a lightweight application that automatically switches between saved APNs based on their signal strengths. So if while you are pacing in the office or walking around at home, and the signal strength drops below the pre-set level, ‘Best WiFi’ will go through your saved APNs and automatically connect to the one with the best signal at the time.

If you have any problems please don't hesitate to email me. My contact details are at the bottom.

Brilliant I have 2 wifi zones with overlapping areas and I had big problems as my phone would stay connected to 1 wifi even though I was almost out of range (but not quite, so a small signal remained), but this app is amazing and allows me to set a minimum signal strength I'm happy with, if the wifi I'm connected to has less signal than the threshold I've set, it connects to another with a higher signal. Works perfectly and wish I'd found it years ago, would have saved me manually connecting all the time!

Best of the bunch If, like me, you are constantly having to manually switch AP's because Android OS hangs onto AP's with a signal no matter how slow the speed, then this is the best app to fix the problem. It runs in the background and unobtrusively starts looking for a better signal as soon as the (adjustable) signal threshold is reached. You can choose whether the app notifies you or just gets on with business silently. A neat solution to a long standing gripe with Android OS. Five stars to the developer!

Forgetful app In concept its a great app. However it keeps forgetting the passwords to known ap's. Type Em in and away it goes for a while. Got fix that.

Can't recommend After using this app for a month I really can't recommend it, if you are near two signals of similar strengths it will switch between the access points every minute or two, causing apps you are in to have connection problems, it's really frustrating.
