Please note that version 1.1.0 does not work on devices where freed wakelocks do not ignore the timeout if they are already free, but crash the application instead. This is solved with 1.1.1.

Using the GPS location provider in combination with the background service can lead to high battery use. Please use the network or the passive location provider for background operation.

Works great for me I think a lot of the bad reviews are from people that do not understand the lightning detectors used in this are not government instruments. They are operated by private weather enthusiasts. Off you go to the website it even tells you how you can set up your own station.

Excellent. This app allows me to check out approaching atmospheric electrical activity so that I can ground my radio telescope antennae. That's just what I needed. Highly recommended.
