BlowTorch MUD Client

BlowTorch MUD Client

BlowTorch is a basic telnet client that supports the following features that people find helpful for playing MUDs.

MCCP Compression
ANSI Color Codes
Aliases
Triggers
Timers
As many custom buttons you can make!

BlowTorch now supports Portrait mode as well as Landscape mode!
MUD/MUSH/MOO Servers are text based games that operate similar to terminal applications. A host name and port are used to connect a player to a game. Game servers can be found at http://www.topmudsites.com and http://www.mudconnect.com

Custom buttons are made through long pressing the window where you want the button to be. Buttons can be grouped onto pages by using button sets accessible through the MENU button.

Triggers can be extended by turning off "Literal" parsing. This will enable regular expression parsing for the entered pattern. Capture group text may be replaced in response actions by using $1,$2,$3, etc, where the number specified is the index of the captured group.

Problems, Questions and Bug reports should be emailed to the developer email address for the quickest response.

Happy mudding!

Good app, bad crashes forcing reinstallation Great app overall. Easy to use, can make simple hotkeys/button commands for ease of access. The real problem lies with infrequent crashes for no apparent reason, with no real fix aside from a clean reinstall, forcing you to lose all your settings. Needs to be fix ASAP.

Very buggy. Everytime I go back to this app I seem to have different problems with it. Last time I kept logging out randomly, this time it won't let me use the backspace button. Very annoyed with this as, mostly, this is a good app.

Great app.....when it runs. I love Blowtorch, and it is easily the best mobile mud client I've ever used, but across the last THREE devices I've used it on, nine times out of ten, when I try to log into a game, it pops up with, "Unfortunately, Blowtorch has stopped running." If I could find another -decent- client, I'd use it just to be able to play my games.

Great, but two serious flaws Galaxy S4. I love everything about this app except for these two issues: if I accidently swipe close the app while it's running, it screws up the settings and refuses to open until I delete all the data. This is a serious pain in the ***. I lose all customizations because I accidently swipe it close. Second bug I've found is when I switch between port and landscape, the keyboard refuses to open in portrait when I click on the prompt area. Other than these issues this app is amazing.
