Blur - Unread (Experimental)

Blur - Unread (Experimental)

This app will do you no good on its own. It is to be used alongside "Blur - A Launcher Replacement" to store and manage the unread counts for the app.

** Using the unread counts (Requires Android 4.3+): **
They are currently housed under the "Experimental Settings" section of the app because they are very new. You can get to this section from the 3-Dot overflow menu in settings. There you will find information about how it works and steps to getting them going. Here are some steps to get them enabled:

1.) Install "Blur - Unread": http://goo.gl/Gi0x18
2.) Go to "Experiment Settings" and enable the "Unread Badges" setting.
3.) Click on the notification listener option and enable the "Blur - Unread" listener.
4.) Return to your homescreen, it will restart and counts will begin to appear as they come in.

Using this app. you can set up a few default apps to hold some data. You can set a default dialer app for new missed calls, a default SMS app for unread SMS, and a default calendar app for the number of calendar events in the next 12 hours.

PLEASE NOTE: This is tagged as experimental because it is very new. I created this functionality only a week before releasing "Blur" so it has not gone through the long term testing phases.

There is a known bugs section under "Experimental Settings" in Blur.
