The British Gas app has been downloaded over a million times because it puts you in control. It’s quick and easy to submit your meter readings, see your bills and make payments – anytime, anywhere.
Download the app to keep an eye on the energy you’re using and compare it to other customers in your area to check if you’re on track.
The app also lets you:
• Log in or register for a new account
• Submit your gas and electricity meter readings
• View and pay your energy bill (and download a PDF version)
• Change your Direct Debit payments
• See all your account information (like your tariff, account balance and payment history)
• Monitor how much energy you’ve used with month-by-month graphs
• Book an engineer or your Annual Service visit
• Read your meter in the dark with our built-in torch function.
Business customers don’t need to log in. Just tap ‘Business Customers’ on the home screen.

Using a tablet? The app isn’t specifically designed for them, so that might be the problem.
This app will ask your permission for a few things, like making calls from your phone (so you can make emergency calls straight from the app) and using your built-in camera (to use the flash as a torch so you can read your meter in the dark).

- Customers who experience login issues can now send an error report to us
- Nectar rewards table is now updated to show your points (pre 31st December 2015) and any rewards available to you
