Does what it says and does it perfectly. Because activity is irrelevant and a poor way to calculate calories expended, using the heart rate is an ideal measure of calories burned. This app is simple enough. The number of minutes I've exercised and the average heart rate from my Heart Rate Monitor and I have a really good approximation of calorie expenditure. Perfect.

Great simple calculator I agree with Minh Thai, most of the 1 star ratings are inaccurate and unfair - *the dev points out in the description* this goes by your average heart rate over the duration of any activity. You could use a HRM or just figure out times to stop and measure with your finger, and calculate your average at the end using your readings. This clearly does gross calories so I also agree with Minh Thai that NET calorie calculation would be nice to have. It would also be cool to have an option to include VO2max for even more accuracy. Thanks for this app dev!!
