Camera Folders

Camera Folders

Note: If you have problems EMAIL me, I cannot help you through comments.

Add favorites and Rename files by long-pressing a file name.
Show a image (that ends in .jpg) by clicking it. (This launches your default imageviewer, I recomend you install something faster than the default gallery, eg QuickPic)
Change the format of filenames, please see examples below)

This is a little app where you first browse to a folder/directory where you want to store your pictures and then press the camera button. When a picture is taken with the camera the picture will be placed in the selected folder.

I use this to organize my lectures so I don't have to try to identify which blackboard is which course.

This is only tested with HTC Desire HD, if you have any problems please report them!

I have tried to make the code public at https://github.com/Phasip/CameraFolders, please notify me of any problems or if I fail with GPL licensing or something.

Mail me if you have designed a nicer icon!

Format examples:
Default: "dd-MM-yy kk.mm"

Exactly What I was Looking For I have wanted this app for ages, but I could not find it, or any other one. It is the end of the school year and my daughter came home with all her writing journals. I want to photograph them so I can save them, without adding to the clutter of our house. But if they get sent to the regular camera roll it is hard to organize later especially because it is hard to remember which photos came from which journal etc. I want to be able to sort them before I take the picture! There are apps out there that are specific to this purpose but their privacy policies are questionable, and stuff gets automatically uploaded to a cloud. I was really close to breaking down and writing the app myself, but I decided to search one last time, and I finally came up with the right keywords. It is perfect. Very simple and straightforward. I did have a bit of a problem getting it to save to the SD card vs the phone (kept saying new directories were failing to get created). I ended up having to navigate to the directory via the mnt folder versus the storage one and then it worked.

Thanks You're app is a lifesaver. Could you add the ability to see photo thumbnails rather than just filenames? Id like to be able to select my destination folder according to what other picture are currently in it. This is for quick visual grouping on the fly.
