Chalk Notes Beta


Chalk is a note taking application that prides itself in being simple and clean. The goal is to allow you to quickly take notes while on the go, and easily sync them with the services you use. For now, the application only supports Ubuntu One, but will include other services in the near future.

Note: This application is in beta, and you will encounter issues. Please report all bugs to the Launchpad website (See Developer Website).

This application will be open source, in just a few weeks. Please see the Launchpad project for more info.

Offline crashes The application is very good in combination with Ubuntu One synchronization but crashes reproducible as soon as the device is offline, ie. In Flight mode. Looking forward to some improvement here.

meh Edits notes, so it's one star better than tomdroid, but I couldn't get it to add new ones, so it isn't terribly useful. Extra star for being beta revoked for being apparently abandoned. I think I give up on cloud sync note takers, they're either broken or bloated, I think I'll just make text notes in Dropbox from now on. Also... @Yanike, it uses Ubuntu One because that's how the Tomboy desktop client syncs between computers, so complain to the Tomboy developers about that.
