While I like the engine the HINT feature is retarded. It will never give a strategic move, it gives horrendous moves, doesn't even play for a draw. What is wrong with the hint feature?

Excellent Chess Genius combines a clean UI, simple and useful analysis tools to develop your game and an engine that is challenging and fun to play against. The easier levels, where the engine makes occasional intentional mistakes suit me at the moment. I'm not a great player so I can't comment on the strength of the engine for a very highly rated player (aside from the fact that it once beat Garry Kasparov), but I can safely say it's plenty strong enough for anybody else. Really highly recommended.

Here is the truth: If you are already a super grandmaster, then you may not need chessgenius. For the rest of us mere mortals (or NM,IM), ChessGenius is a genius way to improve our games because it felt like playing with a human quality and walks you along the way as you improve your game. If you play with komo9 or sf6, it felt cold and you will be crushed right away. No forgiveness. No learning. But ChessGenius is a gentler but sharp and aggressive chess sparring partner. It may not be your analyses friend, but it can be your sparring chess partner for life... The UI board and chess pieces is one of the best looking out there...
