User reviews of Chordbot Pro
After trying lots of different apps to make music on the go, I found this to simply be the best : you can try your chord progressions, experiment with chord substitutions on the fly, export to MIDI, manage song sections, etc... Feature request : enforce voice leading rules, there seems to be a primitive coding of this, but sometimes Maj7 chords stand out way more than they should. It would be nice to be able to switch styles inside a single song.

This is such an amazing app for someone like me who likes to make music but knows nothing about chord progressions. Helps me immensely!

Band in a Brick! Like having a high-end Casio keyboard (yeah, I know...) in your pocket, it'd be great to see the dev join up with PG Music :-)

Needs a Key feature My biggest complaint about this app is the fact that you can't set the key that you want to work in. You're always given a list of every chord possible, even though they won't work within the key that you're trying to write in. It makes finding the chord that you want very difficult.

Wonderful. I'm a guitarist/songwriter, and I find Chordbot invaluable. For working out progressions and exporting for accompaniment, it's an incredible tool. All manner of chords, inversions, rhythms, and instruments that--although you'd never mistake them for actual guitars or pianos--are clear and faithful. Also there's no unnecessary whistles/bells, it's just logical and responsive. Thank you app-makers!

Nearly great Great sounds. Could be easier to use, but I like it. I would pay again for a version 2 with the following: 1) Ability to move chords/drag chords around to re-order; 2) Ability to toggle section/song playback - I'm often trying to get the chords of a chorus right, and it's annoying that playback keeps going to the next section. I would like to be able to loop the chorus temporarily while I work on it; 3) Option to move to a new line. It's sort of restricting that the display shows the chords four at a time no matter how they are structured. So if I have a section that is e.g. A for two bars, C for two bars, E for 4 bars, played four times, I want to see this as: A C E / A C E / A C E / A C E / ... instead of how it is currently: A C E A / C E A C / E A C E / ... Nevertheless this is a very useful app! UPDATE: My mistake, I have realised that my point 2 about repeating single sections is incorrect - this app does indeed already have this feature.
