Chroma Doze (white noise)

Now you can sleep soundly with the soothing algorithms of Fourier analysis. Just sketch your favorite spectrum, and listen to a generated stream of white/colored noise. If sleep's not your thing, you can also use it with headphones to drown out neighbors, or tweak the settings to erode eardrums and frighten small children.

Notable features:
- No ads or weird permissions
- Doesn't just play looped samples
- Relatively power-efficient
- Able to keep playing in the background

Awesome updates and it's free! I use this app to sleep every night. Great for blocking out traffic noise. The latest updates are great, especially the lock feature. No more accidentally changing your sound wave. Being able to save a few wave patterns would make it even better.

Best white noise generator app ever Uses inverse fft to make the best white noise ever. Tune it to the frequencies you want/can actually hear. Plus no seams in the playback! Other apps that use pre generated noise have to loop a sounds file that can have pauses or pops when it repeats. Doesn't eat you battery either. Used my phone on a three day camping trip with the phone in airplane mode, and I still had 50 percent at the end of the trip. Get it. Period.

Simple. Functional. Effective. Works flawlessly and truly helps me sleep. Its most effective when paired up to real speakers with a sub woofer as the bottom third of the frequency range is crap on a phone speaker anyway. This app can drown out quite a bit!
