A new, fast and safe way to pay with your CIBC credit card using your smartphone — on Rogers, Bell, TELUS and Virgin Mobile. Whether you're grabbing coffee, buying movie tickets or picking up groceries, there's no need to fumble for cash. Rest assured, the CIBC Mobile Payment App is just as secure as using your CIBC credit card.

To use the CIBC Mobile Payment App, you’ll need:
• An activated Rogers suretap NFC SIM card, or Bell, TELUS, Virgin Mobile or Koodo Mobile NFC SIM card. A new SIM card may be required. To obtain an NFC SIM Card, please visit your mobile providers store, order online, or contact their call center.
• A data plan with Rogers, Bell, TELUS, Virgin Mobile or Koodo Mobile.
• A Samsung Galaxy SIII™, S4™, S5™, S6, S6 Edge, Note II™, Note 3, Note 4, Note Edge, LG G3 or an HTC One™ M7. Please ensure you have made all phone software updates prior to downloading the App. Some Android smartphones may not be supported by your service provider. Please contact them directly for more information.
• A CIBC credit card

CIBC Mobile Payment App features include:
• Use for purchases up to $100
• Can be used at thousands of participating locations in Canada and abroad — just look for the contactless symbol at checkout
• Ability to lock the CIBC Mobile Payment App with an optional passcode
• Cardholder protection for unauthorized transactions*
• Trusted encryption technology to store your credit card on the chip in your smartphone
• Track your mobile purchases on your CIBC credit card statement or through online or mobile banking

Great, could use a few extra features The setup processes failed the first time, but worked on the second try, and so far it works very well. I've been able to use it at most places that take tap. I would like to see a simple log/history built into the app. The registration process could also be simplified a little, and made to not require a phone call. Also support for new phones should be faster, I've had my phone for months before this was supported.

Must Order Special Sim :( Had wanted to hook this up with my platinum card, only to find out I'd need to BUY a special SIM from Telus. Not interested in paying extra as my phone (Samsung Note 3) has NFC built in and tied to my other credit cards. Pity as my wife and I had been hoping to use this with both our cards.

Doesn't Work on Galaxy S6 with Koodo NFC SIM Says I don't have an NFC SIM even though I do. I'm with Koodo as well have a supported device with the Galaxy S6 yet it doesn't work.

NFC sim not found S6 is finally supported so I got an NFC sim from TELUS and activated it. It keeps saying I need an NFC sim. I setup NFC to use se sim card and nothing. CIBC even shows up as a payment app in the phone. And don't tell me you are expanding to support more devices. I have a supported device and a supported sim and it still doesn't work.
