Citybus New World First Bus (“NWFB”) App v3.3 is now available. The enhanced route search function makes it more convenient to search for bus routes and Estimated Time of Arrival (“ETA”).

1. Which Routes are providing Estimated bus Arrival Time?
You can click the Next Bus icon at main page to view the list of routes with Next Bus Arrival Time Enquiry Service. It is expected to fully cover all franchised routes within 2018.
2.Why does the estimated arrival time frequently change?
When the bus is in operation, the Next Bus Arrival Time Enquiry System will calculate and update the estimated arrival time based on the real time position of the bus and traffic. Actual arrival time can be affected by traffic conditions.
3.Why there is “Scheduled” and “Distance” remark next to the ETA?
When the bus has not departed from the terminus yet or the bus deployed is not equipped with the Next Bus Arrival Time Enquiry System due to temporary deployment, scheduled arrival time is calculated from statistical journey record and may change subject to operational adjustment where necessary. The scheduled arrival time icon will be displayed in the app for identification.
When the bus has departed from the terminus, the app will display the distance between the current location of the travelling bus and the selected bus stop.
4.Point-to-Point search: How to calculate the Total travel time?
Total travel time integrating historical bus journey record and user walking time. It is for reference only and may differ from actual conditions depending on traffic conditions.
5.Point-to-Point search: Does the fare include the Octopus fare concession and fare concession?
Yes. Octopus fare concessions or fare concessions are considered when displaying fare search result.
6.Must GPS be turned on to obtain current location and use alight reminder?
You must switch on GPS and keep the app running or in standby mode to obtain current location and use alight reminder.
7.Will the app continue to use GPS information and consume battery life if I do not arrive at the bus stop with alight reminder activated?
No. After activating the journey log tracker, the alight reminder will be automatically suspended if you do not arrive at the concerned bus stop within two hours. You can reactivate the app to continue using this function. If you do not arrive at the concerned bus stop within 24 hours, the alight reminder will be automatically removed.
