ActivePhoto Widget

ActivePhoto Widget

This app creates homescreen widgets that display pictures of your contacts which also work as contact shortcuts. You can create albums that feature up to six pictures, and assign them one or two ways of contacting someone. Then just touch the frame on your homescreen at any time to instantly reach your friends or family by your chosen method.

Note: I have reports that this app does not work with some devices. You should try the free "LITE" version first to ensure that it works on yours.

Supported contact methods:
- call
- text
- email
- view contact page
- quick contact popup
- no method

The app offers ten frame sizes, including a large 4x4 widget which can be helpful for visually impaired users.

Now featuring two-link widgets: choose left/right or top/bottom split, and choose a different action (or even a different person) for each half of the widget. This could be useful for a picture of a couple, or a call action and text action on the same frame.

Formerly known as "Clickable Picture Frame".

Permission information:
CALL_PHONE,
SEND_SMS: these are needed to enable the corresponding contact methods.
READ_CONTACTS: needed to present a contack picker during configuration.
WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: needed and only used for saving and restoring backups, and for temporary storage during picture cropping.

Recent changes:
3.3 update:
Added "change picture" action.
Added ability to use a photo folder instead of cropping pictures one-by-one.
Bugfix for quick contact action failing on some phones.

3.2 update:
Added album backup/restore to and from external storage. Backed up albums will remain if app is uninstalled and can be reused after reinstall.
Fixed bug that prevented dialing of USSD numbers.
Improved performance of album list page.

Fantastic I love this app! It is a great way to display photos and albums easily. Any change it will be available on tablets? I can't install on my nexus 7. Nice work though.

Awesome I love the split options, would recommend updating UI to ICS. Update: UI is updated, and emailed the dev about changing the frame, replied to me in 5 mins! Good stuff

Great but.. Can you make it to where we can have more than 6 photos in a frame, when I use the folder option it blurs and depixelates the pictures
