First impression I am hesitant to move forward with this app in case technical issues occur, since the responses from the developer are a bit snappy and rude. I'll update this review once I reach a conclusion or some degree of success with this app.

Well I've just done a quick test, and it works OK with my 600d,if I find something that doesn't work then I will not bad mouth this program, as it's free

Mick Helicon Remote seems to have recently 'broken' (I'm assuming after an update of some kind). Camera is canon 1000D & used to work very well, now throws an error & seems to show a battery fault icon & won't connect. Tried 2 different fully charged batteries and 2 different cameras (same model), checked USB (good, another remote app works fine), same error on both Nexus 7 and SII phone. Nice app until this happened so it would be great if it's fixable.
