OpenTyrian

OpenTyrian

Port of the DOS game Tyrian - classical arcade-style vertical scrolling shooter.

4 full episodes, ship upgrades, storyline, powerful enemies, lot of action, without ads or in-app purchases.

Sources at developer site.

Recent changes:
This version can let you change the controls back like you had the classical way.

For those who complained this is how you can do it:

Under the Tyrian Game go to Options-> Keyboard there you can get the classical control scheme layout.

Further options for that are available in the option just before Opentyrian boots up.

Have fun!

Works great on my Samsung Galaxy S2 BUT the touch screen interface needs adjustment, it would be better with some sort of touchpad in the lower left corner (abit like a laptop) instead of the arrow keys.. The sound is not possible to turn up/down either, which is really annoying.. But anyways a really great app!

Awesome Amazing port, I love this game! Now tested itnon Note2, ASUS MeMo Pad 7 HD and Xperia T3. Works well in all cases.

Just one issue I want to rate this higher so much, but I'm having the issue others have reported of not being able to buy upgrades I have the credits for. The item is not darkened, but tapping on it accomplishes nothing but generating the error sound effect. Really frustrating to finally have a new ship or sidekick available for purchase and have it sit tantalizingly just out of reach. Please fix this bug and you'll have a 5-star gem!

The game rocks but the controls suck. I've had the older version of this game before. This new versions touch N drag with auto fire sucks. I've tried to go into settings to get the buttons to pop up. I see them for a moment on game startup but they disappear, and the control scheme goes back to touch N drag. Please remove touch N drag. This game really isn't optimized for that type of control scheme. Phone is LG G3.

Needs some work Game is great, I love the port, however I am unable to purchase things occasionally even though I have enough money to do so, or it won't let me remove things I recently purchased, e.g. purchase a sidekick, just to see what it looks like, and then it won't let me take it back off. Or purchase a shield, but won't let me downgrade it again.
