HIIT interval training timer


A simple and efficient timer that will help you during your workouts.

This app has been created to be SIMPLE : it’s simple to set up your workout, it’s simple to use so you can forget about it during your training and just follow the sounds.

First it was developed for HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) workouts, a famous method to burn fat in a short & intense workout. But our users showed us you can use it every time you need a timer : running, biking, HIIT, Tabata, yoga, stretching... et even cooking !


* WHAT’S HIIT ? *
High-intensity interval training (HIIT), also called high-intensity intermittent exercise (HIIE) or sprint interval training (SIT), is an enhanced form of interval training, an exercise strategy alternating periods of short intense anaerobic exercise with less-intense recovery periods. HIIT is a form of cardiovascular exercise. Usual HIIT sessions may vary from 4–30 minutes. These short, intense workouts provide improved athletic capacity and condition, improved glucose metabolism, and improved fat burning.

* HOW TO USE THE APP ? *
You can use it while cycling, running, sprinting, weightlifting, circuits, tabata….
On the first screen you will set up your workout : preparation time, work, rest, rounds and cool down
Then hit “Go !”, work and just follow the whistle !
You can listen to your own music, just make sure you can still hear the whistle.

* PHONE PERMISSIONS *
Now automatically pause and resume if a phone call arrives.
This is why PHONE_STATE permissions are required. The app doesn't have internet access so there's no chance of sniffing numbers.

Added scrolling to support small screens
Increased font size for high density screens
New Whistle sounds
Consumes less memory, this could help people reporting issues with sounds

Have only used it a couple of times. I'm not doing intervals all that much, in fact all of my training is rather unstructured. Anyway, I keep it around.

After a rave review, I tried it again and the whistle didn't work. Bummed. Excellent for treadmill interval training with the droid x. And I love the whistle--I feel like I'm back in high school. Thanks for a great program.

Timer does not reliably time the intervals. Every time I use this app there is one interval that will only run for 1/4 of the time it is supposed to. It throws the whole workout off. Developers ignored emails.

Excellent app for better workout! This piece of software is perfect, have visual and sound feedback during the training is crucial for me. Ads are only showed during the configuration of the workout so no distraction during the training. Intervals are configurable even to very little increment : on a fingerboard training I usually stay 7 seconds on the board ans 10 seconds on the rest.

Never lets me down This app is perfect for my circuit training. It allows me to work a hard fast tabita session or a longer drawn out beast mode session. Love it.
