DayCatcher Journal

DayCatcher Journal is not just an app, it's a state of mind.....

Reflect on the past
Visualize the future
But remain conscientiously concerned on the present.
Be a DayCatcher.

The DayCatcher App

DayCatcher is a new people-centric Note Taking, Journal and Diary app designed to help you organize large amounts of information in an intelligent and personal way.

One key feature that sets DayCatcher apart from the competition is you can link 'Contacts' or 'People' to your notes to develop a relationship database, like a CRM.

The 'Sentiment Slider' is also an option for your notes if you want to track emotion at the time of entry.

You can also set your notes for 'follow-up' at a later date to keep on top of your personal or professional network.

DayCatcher Journal is the great organizational note taking app you've been looking for.

DayCatcher is currently a free, ad supported app. Upgrade to Pro to enable notification reminders, remove ads, and support further development.

The DayCatcher Mindset

The DayCatcher mindset revolves around the theme of being constantly present in the moment. Clearly focused on what is in front of them, the DayCatcher is in a great position to affect change and make a difference in the world. The DayCatcher can act with a sense of clarity and intention that can only be achieved with conscious effort and a sound system.

The DayCatcher mindset understands the need for meaningful relationships, and is always looking to deepen them.

The DayCatcher understands the speed at which information flows and has developed a system to capture relevant information into a trusted system for future reference and action. It is through this system a DayCatcher can remain focused on the present and keep their clarity.

The DayCatcher is looking for ways to cut through all the noise and develop a laser focus on the things that really matter....

Almost This is almost the perfect diary app, Almost! The main problem for me is that there is no local Backup & restore to memory card as i like to be in control of my data and where it is stored. As the app is is always in edit mode I've already accidentally deleted a few lines of text without realising then done a sync and data was lost. Sync is ok for keeping multiple devices in sync but not as the main Backup. Also more than one image per entry would be good. A very good app that will get better!!!

Soo far, soo good. I like the dynamic, really cool. Would be nice to chronicle my thoughts thru location(s) via GPS interface .. Can we get that?

Upgraded to Pro in 20 mins after installing this... There are some buggy bits, to be expected when it's so early in the applications life, but the core operation is already sorted and is capable of being many things to many people. I wanted to use it for Journalling originally but found I was already thinking of ways it could fit my workflow for other uses, like tasking, note taking, maintaining working or family relationships. Worth supporting for a trifling £1.85, only four stars for now because nothing is perfect. Hoping for data download for offline backup purposes, a web app so I can access it from my Linux laptops and a bit of functional tidying up. EDIT: As of 24/5/14 there has been no development to this app since my initial review, despite good email dialogue with the developer so although it still stands I am uninstalling to move to another solution.

Dream app! DayCatcher is a tremendously useful little app. For me, it's replacing a Evernote, Diaro, and Google Tasks. And that's only in the last two days! I've had no instability issues at all, which is nice for a new app. I'd like to see landscape support and local security backups, but the pros outweigh those couple of cons. The tagging and people links are great. As is the range of different kinds of entries. If never thought of that, but it's very handy.
