Delayed Lock

Delayed Lock

This is a 7 days trial version! License can be bought through an in-app purchase (1.99 EUR / 2.99 USD).
Due to a bug in Lollipop, the app does currently not work on Android 5.0.x

Not using any pattern-, PIN- or password lock is a huge security problem, but reentering your PIN code a hundred times a day to unlock your lockscreen can also be annoying.
Delayed Lock is a solution to this problem: After unlocking your device, it will turn the secure lock screen off for a user defined amount of time or while you're connected to a certain WiFi network or Bluetooth device, just as the "personal unlocking" feature from the upcoming Android version! You can turn your phone off and on as often as you want without entering your password/PIN/pattern again. After the defined delay time, it will automatically reactivate your lockscreen, so no stranger can unlock your device and access your private data.
Additionally, there is also an optional notification in the Android status bar and a widget to immediately reenable the lock screen, and free plugins to automatically keep the device unlocked while at certain locations or to control the lockscreen through the Tasker app.

---------------
Main Features:
• Delayes the requirement to enter pattern/PIN/password again after succesfully unlocked once
• No lockscreen while connected to certain WiFi network or Bluetooth devices
• Time delay since "Screen off" or since "Last unlock"
• Quickly re-enable the lock through the Android notification bar or a widget
• Widgets & Shortcuts: Toggle Lock, Screen off, Screen off & Lock, Enable / Disable DelayedLock
• Free plugins: Disable lockscreen while at certain locations or use the Tasker app to control the lockscreen
• automatically wipe the device after several failed unlocks
• Android Wear integration

---------------
General limitations:
• Does not work if your Exchange policy requires a PIN, if you setup a VPN in the Android settings or if you have installed any custom certificates (might work if your device is rooted though)
• Pattern lock & FaceUnlock require root on Android 4.0+
• Does not work on all devices, see section Device incompatibility
• Requires root if full device encryption is enabled
• Incompatible with NoLED, No Lock & some other apps
• Please use the "Uninstall" option from within the app to uninstall it

---------------
Device incompatibility:
• Some HTC devices: Pattern lock might not work
• Some Samung devices: Notification bar might be accessable even in locked state
• Samsung devices with Android 4.4: User reported that after 3 days, the device does not accept the PIN/password any more. Make sure you enable the "Android Device Manager" to remotely change your password in case this happens! Also try to disable the fingerprint feature before setting up Delayed Lock
• Sony devices: Disable Stamina or at least whitelist the app there

User reviews of Delayed Lock
I love u but I have to say goodbye now. CM7 has this built in! worked great on both g2 in g2x. Nag screen only shows on reboot so no problem.

Hard to discover whether I like this app or not due to the constantly annoying nagware. Might consider going to a trial that expires rather than annoy the crap out of potential customers. About to be uninstalled.

Works inconsistently It's fantastic, when it works. I don't know what happens but sometimes this app ceases to work. Normally I would open the app and deactivate it and activate it back to make it works (which was a pain) but now not even that trick makes it work. It's a shame because I think there's nothing else similar

A "Must Have " app Works great. I didn't realize how good it was until I lost it when I went to Lollipop. Now I miss it every time I use my tablet. If I knew it wouldn't work in Lollipop I would have stayed at Kit Kat.

Don't want swipe unlock May as well just enter a PIN if I can't disable swipe unlock (nearly as quick). There are many 'no lock' applications which are capable of doing away with swipe unlock on my Samsung S3. I know. I use one. 'No Lock'. But it makes this program useless, because it needs to be integrated into this program, or it disables it. While I am perfectly aware of what this program is for, I'm not sure the developer is. It's to do away with the inconvenience of a lock screen in a secure location. A swipe lock is still a lock screen, so for my Samsung S3 this program is a fail... I still have a lock screen, albeit a swipe instead of PIN. The developer refuses to acknowledge this as a flaw. EDIT: I've upped the rating, but it should still have an option to 'frig' the swipe lock with some kind of 'shim', there are apps which do that like no swipe, but they don't work with this installed.

Highly Recommended A little tricky to set up but worth the effort. The various options mean that the need to repeatedly enter a lock screen code is safely removed when appropriate to do so.

Works as intended Great app. Seems to be very reliable and stable. Would like to see fingerprint scanner compatibility added.
