DOMLauncher

DOMLauncher

DOMLauncher is an Android launcher that allows anyone to create almost limitless homescreen UI kits out of HTML, CSS and JavaScript. These interfaces are called DOMods (DMDs).

Included is a Default DOMod, in case there is not a DMD available or there was an error loading one. The Default DMD provides the basic needs of a launcher and is meant as a simple tool to learn to create your own!

What to expand or add additional features to DOMLauncher? You can! DOMLauncher's source code is hosted at Github and is looking for additional Java developers to help out! On that note, this application does not do two 'native' features: Native WIdgets/Active Backgrounds and Shortcut to Homescreen. None of these are impossible but are not currently included.

Keep watch on the main portal website and Facebook as new DOMods are released.

Recent changes:
Updated Crosswalk to stable 13. Along with that came an updated version of Cordova and updates to all plugins to what is currently found on Git.

Last hiccup to be resolved is the Missed Calls/SMS plugin making the application unhappy if those services do not exist. Disabled them in the default, internally install DOMod so DOMLauncher should no longer crash on non-phone devices.

Not bad so far Doesn't work very well on my LG Viper which is listed as compatible but it works just fine on my Nextbook 8HD (NX008HD8G) which is listed as incompatible

Awesome!!!! Except for DTD the launcher is awesome, don't know how to set custom page as a home screen, simplifying DTD might help

Exactly what I was looking for! I am a frontend developer, so now i'll be able to design my own launcher with this. Can't wait to see the themes that come out for this!

Html for a home screen? Yes please! Being able to write my own home screen layout with html is great, really lowers the barrier of entry for custom layouts without having to learn stinky old Java
