Duo Mobile

Duo Mobile

Duo Mobile works with Duo Security's two-factor authentication service to make logins more secure. The application generates passcodes for login and can receive push notifications for easy, one-tap authentication.

Additionally, you can use Duo Mobile to manage two-factor authentication for other application and web services that make use of passcodes.

Note: For Duo accounts, Duo Mobile needs to be activated and linked to your account before it will work. You will receive an activation link as part of Duo's enrollment process. You may add third-party accounts at any time.

Additionally, we will request access to use your camera for the sole purpose of scanning QR codes when activating accounts. Accounts can be activated by other methods if you choose not to do so.

It used to work great with Android Wear but an update broke it! Now the only option when you swipe is "open on phone" , you unlock the phone and the app disappears. You then need to locate/open the app then approve the pending notification. This happens even if smart lock is enabled and has become a real pain. It is also important to note that Apple Watch version allows you to approve without having to touch your phone.....the way it used to work for android wear. Poor design or vendor preference.......????

My company just set this up, it's not overly intrusive and generally works fine, though it's not always possible to approve some services before they time out - Cisco Anyconnect's integration suffers from that. Also, one could argue that sending another authentication request to the same device isn't really two-factor. I like the Android client, and appreciate being able to authenticate using my Android Wear watch. I don't like that the Android client makes you press two separate times to approve (once to authenticate, once to confirm) when the iOS client lets you just press once. One more vote to support Pebble to approve authentication, please.
