Easy Advanced Search provides simple and convenient access to Google's powerful enhanced search functions:
This is to enter a phrase that shall be contained in the result exactly as is, e.g. veni, vidi, vici.
Have to be included in the result.
terms to exclude:
Must not be in the result.
May, but don't have to be included. Can be helpful to control the semantic context. This is closest to Google standard search.
search in Domain/Subdomain:
Limits search to domains e.g. wikipedia or wikipedia.fr or Subdomains, e.g. org or info
Searches only pages in the given language. Use the common two letter shortcuts like EN = English, FR = French etc.
Searches only pages from the given country.
In general it is preferrable to use lower case terms only. Google will automatically append 'similar' results even when the search is heavily resricted. It may even occur that there is not a single perfect hit in the results.
The Google Searcher does not need any special permissions. It builds the search string and opens it on button click in the installed browser. Thus it doesn't even need Internet access.
When finishing EAS all entered text is deleted. The choosen interface language is stored however. The actual state may be saved through the menu. Menu > forget all deletes all entered information (even the choosen interface language) and removes the savefile completely. At next startup the savefile is newly created with default values.
Long click on the helpfile will show the actual searchstring and all saved values.
EAS requires Android version 4.0 or above and needs a screen size and resolution appropriate for webbrowsing. I have tested EAS heavily on Galaxy Note 1 (Jelly Bean) and Note 3 (KitKat) as well as on the Android emulator.
Since there are so many devices and screen sizes I cannot guarantee perfect display on all of them. Any information both it it shows up correctly or not together with your device type and Android version is really welcome.
When switching from German to English Interface and back on some older devices EAS might be closed. On the next startup however it will use the choosen interface language.
