Good but should improve It was with lots of difficulty that I eventually managed to get the Eloquence TTS installed on my phone. Visually impaired people, the primary customers of the app, face lots of issues with creditcard availability in a country like India and the GooglePlay environment just doesn't provide a functional alternative. CF too hasn't provided any alternative in this regard. Now I managed to get the app installed and I am so very happy to hear the Eloquence voice on my phone. The customization options provided are pretty good as well. But for a rather expensive app, there is need for significant improvements. First of all, the TTS volume levels are considerably less than eSpeak or the Google TTS. My phone already isn't a very loud one, and if the TTS operates at around 70 % volume of other TTS engines, then there is a huge problem. The overall voice quality also needs improvement. And then when the app got a recent update, the Google TTS started speaking after the install and I had to restart the phone to get eloquence to start talking.

Hello, I am refining my rating of this app due to my own inability to initially figure it out. It works great.

Very very close to perfection. I must say, I would never imagine using any other TTS engine than this one. And that's saying something considering that coat factory has left a bad taste in my mouth from the past. The only reason that I am giving this a lower rating is because I feel that eloquence is a little bit too compressed. It sounds like a four or five over one ratio. An extremely fast attack and almost no release. The threshold is terrible. Weirdly, 16 K sounds even worse than the 11 case sample rate. You guys are so close!
