Encourage Me will present you with encouraging notices throughout the day, and help you keep track of your progress towards your goal.


Losing weight? How about scheduled encouragements just before each normal mealtime which show you how you are progressing, and urging you to stick with it?

Quitting smoking? How about random encouragements throughout the day which remind you how many days you've managed to go without a smoke?

Can't wait for your vacation? How about an encouragement each morning telling you how few days you have left?

Setting Your Goal:

You must choose between a day goal or a count goal. At present, only one goal can be defined at a given time. Choosing a goal type will automatically clear out the configuration values of the other type.

Count Goals:

When tracking a count goal, the app does not need to know what you are counting. You may be counting pounds, kilos, miles, dollars, yen, sales, your golf score, grade point average, etc. All the app needs to track is how many, not how many of what.

A count goal can have a start and target count, or be cumulative.

If either a start or target count is specified, Encourage Me will calculate the percentage that the current (user input) value represents along the range from the start (defaulting to zero) to the target. Encourage Me automatically adjusts for ascending or descending target ranges. A progress bar is shown in the first view.

If neither start nor target counts are specified, Encourage Me provides a means to record the current value to date, and provide encouragement to continue.

Day Goals:

A day goal can have a start and target date, or be cumulative. No user input of a current value is needed. Progress is calculated using the current date as it relates to the start and target dates (if defined).

If both a start and target date are specified, Encourage Me will calculate the percentage that the current date represents along the range from the start to the target. Encourage Me automatically adjusts for ascending or descending target ranges. A progress bar is shown in the first view.

If only a start date is specified, Encourage Me tracks the total days since the start date, up to current date (inclusive).

If only a target date is specified, Encourage Me tracks the total days remaining from the current date until the target date.

Scheduling Options:

You can schedule encouragements to occur in three different ways:

1. Occur at up to one of six specific times

2. Occur hourly, between a specified set of start and end times

3. Occur randomly, between a specified set of start and end times (random encouragements will occur at intervals between one to three hours).

Any combination of these scheduling options can be used at the same time.
