But sometimes, all that's needed is a quick way for people to find out where you are. An online tracking service is the ideal solution to this and takes away the hassle for making expensive phone calls or the complication of internet connection and sending emails. EOTrack is an online tracking service that simply tracks your movements through a device with a GPS, which transmits your location to a webpage featuring a map that pinpoints your position.
The EOTrackMe Android program makes your device a real-time tracker. This software determines your location with either an inbuilt or external GPS receiver, and transmits your tracking data to the EOTrackMe server in real-time. The program can be automatically started at reboot and tracks in the background with minimal impact on battery life.
One of the major functions of this program is full off-line store and forward tracking. This means that all data will be recorded even if your device is out of mobile/data service. This stored data will then be automatically transmitted once your device moves back into a mobile/data coverage area.
EOTrackMe uses the ExplorOz.com website – Australia’s most popular website for the self-drive traveller – appealing to campers, caravanners & remote desert area 4WD adventurers. Initially, we only had client software for the Spot (satellite), and Symbian & iPhone mobile phones. In early 2013, we released the Android version.
