extSD Widget

extSD Widget

Please contact me if it does not work so I can fix it. (put extSD Widget in the subject line)

Works with non standard external SD like the Galaxy S3!

Be sure to touch the settings button just once to detect your sd card.

This widget displays free storage space available for two locations***. It does not move apps to SD. It updates only once per minute, or when you tap the widget to extend your battery life. This is a widget so you need to add it to your home screen.

Open the settings by finding extSDWidget in your applications list. Check any two locations (internal, system, sdcard, external sdcard) to display them. It will only use 2, even if you check more of them.

I have not yet tested on dual SD card devices but it should work for them also.

*** The widget searches your device for possible sd card paths and includes internal and system by default. If it does not find the storage you want just enter it into the "Custom Path" (i.e. /mnt/sdcard/external_sd )

Tested on Galaxy S3 and Droid Incredible.
If the widget works well for you, please send me a message so I can add your device to my list of tested.

Samsung Note 2 - Works with Irregular paths Free space is displayed on the widget using a well designed and appealing tight* layout for both internal and custom SD card paths. This widget also works with the Samsung Note 2 which uses a non standard placement for storage paths. *=I like that the developer chose to display this info in a compact fashion that does it's job using good spacing. A simple and to the point app. I contacted Andrew, the developer and also received a speedy reply. I later made a suggestion which got cheerfully implemented. Thumbs up! Great Support!
