Worst news app I have used As I like the contents of Financial Times and FT's Android app used to leave a decent impression, I purchased an all-year subscription, only to regret for this decision soon after I updated the FT apple on Android. The app is slow, and as it always tries to download contents, the app is also a battery killer. The thing with which I have the biggest issue is the app's ability to update contents. Although the slogan of the app correctly points out that we are living in financial times, the app has certainly failed to live up to the slogan as manual update of headlines rarely works or takes a long time even if it does Also, asking the user for a specific time range to download all the contents is simply silly. It is totally ok and actually nice to allow the user, rather than require the user, to download all contents on a specific time. My advice is simple: test your update before you release them, or at least mark them as beta versions so the users are aware that the update may be buggy!! FT's sister magazine The Economist just suggested a short time ago that programmers need to produce programs with fewer bugs. The suggestion is vacuous, but you should at least take note.

Great content, well-presented. Not a sexy tactile app, but works very well.
