Firecracker

Firecracker

Firecracker helps pre-medical and medical students learn faster and remember everything. It is the most advanced learning platform for the next generation of physicians.

Firecracker quizzes you on the material you need to know to ace your classes, the MCAT, Shelf exams and the USMLE. Our platform synthesizes and condenses content from top sources into key facts perfect for studying. Taking quizzes not only shows you how well you understand the material, but also reinforces what you've studied. Most people forget 32% of what they've just studied. But don't worry, Firecracker will make sure you review something until you master it!

Firecracker will recommend you review something at just the right time — right before you forget it. This saves you time and tells your brain to move the facts from short-term to long-term memory. Well, at least that's what Harvard Medical researchers say.

Randomly flagging topics The app is giving me questions that I don't even have flagged in the Web app. I try to go online and unflag them but they're not. Resyncing the app doesn't help either

Questions by priority If I understand correctly, new app shows questions based on priority rather than designated day. If that is the case then I think this is a positive move as many of us miss some days and the older prioritized questions get pushed back with the spread feature?

Still no option for flagged questions Every other firecracker interface let's you do flagged questions except this app. My buddy with iOS is doing it right now with the older (for Android about 2 months ago) app format. Can you please make the old version available and let the Android team do their kind of worthless changes with a second app.

Glitchy, slow, lacking features The idea behind firecracker is good, but it's mobile Android platform is markedly inadequate at present. The latest update provided minor improvements, but there is still a ton of room for upgrades. Overall the app is sluggish (even considering I'm running it on the Note 4), and not particularly user friendly. I would like options to custom design study sessions, among others, and an increased variety of question types. At present, the app is equivalent to borrowings a friend's flash cards.

Slow and New color scheme is hard to read I liked the color scheme better in the last update. Sky blue on white for multiple choice questions is hard to read. I like the new ability to do your scheduled questions in addition to being able to go through by topic. But the app is really really slow. And still no offline capacity
