first direct Banking on the go

To use this first direct Banking on the go App you need to be a first direct customer and registered for first direct Internet Banking.

We know that you like to manage your money when you’re ‘on the go’. That’s why we’ve created this App. It allows you to see and use some of your Internet Banking services more easily on a smaller screen.

Our App allows you to:

• view balances and up to your last 90 transactions
• make transfers between your accounts with us
• make payments to a person or organisation you have paid before using Internet Banking
You’ll still need to log on to full Internet Banking at firstdirect.com regularly to access all services. We recommend you do this at least every 14 days. Some of the Internet Banking services that you can only access by logging on at firstdirect.com are:

• full statement information
• details of monthly charges, fees and interest
• sending, receiving and viewing attachments of secure messages•setting up payments to a person or organisation you haven’t paid before
• cancelling or amending a payment you have set up

We don’t charge you for this App, but we can’t say the same for your network provider, who may charge you for downloading and using the App. You’ll be responsible for these charges.

We recommend that you don’t use this App abroad, but if you do, you’ll need to make sure that it’s permitted by local law, and remember your network provider’s charges may be higher.

The App may be withdrawn at any time; we will tell you if this is going to
happen.

It’s important that you only download Apps in accordance with the terms and conditions that you have agreed with Google.

First Direct have been saddled sadly with a HSBC application that's pretty out of date now. it does the basics such as viewing transaction statements, making payments to already set up payees and such. but no more. It takes quite some time to load the log in procedure is longer than with competitors. But my fundamental irritation is having to click through several screens just to see your available balance. Pending transactions cause so many people financial woes but FD make it hard to even account for them without digging through various sub menus. Poor show.

Needs complete overhaul Very poor app. Generally first direct is head and shoulders above all the other banks. Needs complete redesign to make it much more user friendly

Paym crashes Crashes while trying to select phone book contact for Paym. Will also not proceed when manually entered phone number contains spaces or +44 prefix, so can't copy and paste either.

It does what i need. First Direct call handlers are always pretty helpful but last couple of years I find myself on call waiting for too long before being connected. Like Ebay and Facebook First Direct has evolved to be an organisation of somewhat lesser quality than when it first was born 20 odd years ago. But hey....profit before customers....aint that always the way.

More expected From an online only bank, this app pales in comparison to the Natwest one. Take note first direct.... Or your customers might and leave
