To use this first direct Banking on the go App you need to be a first direct customer and registered for first direct Internet Banking.

We know that you like to manage your money when you’re ‘on the go’. That’s why we’ve created this App. It allows you to see and use some of your Internet Banking services more easily on a smaller screen.

Our App allows you to:

• view balances and up to your last 90 transactions
• make transfers between your accounts with us
• make payments to a person or organisation you have paid before using Internet Banking
You’ll still need to log on to full Internet Banking at firstdirect.com regularly to access all services. We recommend you do this at least every 14 days. Some of the Internet Banking services that you can only access by logging on at firstdirect.com are:

• full statement information
• details of monthly charges, fees and interest
• sending, receiving and viewing attachments of secure messages•setting up payments to a person or organisation you haven’t paid before
• cancelling or amending a payment you have set up

We don’t charge you for this App, but we can’t say the same for your network provider, who may charge you for downloading and using the App. You’ll be responsible for these charges.

We recommend that you don’t use this App abroad, but if you do, you’ll need to make sure that it’s permitted by local law, and remember your network provider’s charges may be higher.

The App may be withdrawn at any time; we will tell you if this is going to
happen.

It’s important that you only download Apps in accordance with the terms and conditions that you have agreed with Google.

Recent changes:
• You can now call us using an 03456 code - we've made this change because our new 03456 numbers will normally be part of any inclusive minutes provided with a phone package*

*If you have any inclusive minutes left to use, you may be able to make calls to us free of charge. If not, calls to 03456 numbers are charged similarly to 08456 numbers. They typically cost up to 10p per minute from land lines, 10p to 40p from mobiles. We recommend you contact your phone service provider to confirm.

Loving the look and the way it allows access to the services i need at the press of a button, however recent update keeps giving problems with the log on process, it fails to take you on to correct page ... spacing the button on the page might be a good future update !

Unstable and buggy Been trying for an hour to activate my new mobile phone (Galaxy S6) but the app keeps crashing. Does not inspire much confidence...

Clumsy but secure key idea is grrat Compared to other banking apps this is clumsy and not particularly user friendly. When viewing your account there are two buttons "pay bill" and "make transfer" the latter is only for internal transfers between your own accounts. If you are trying to transfer money to another person you have to choose "pay bill", this is a bit misleading. It gets 2 stars because it does work and the fact you can use it to generate a key code is brilliant. Saves me faffing around with card readers or separate code generators

Please for the sake of humanity update this awful app Yes this app "works" (in the loosest sense of the word). But with all the money that you must make as a bank this is an absolute disgrace of an app. It feels like it was rushed to market as I'm sure it has. Might have been a good app in 2009 but 6 years on this is shameful. It looks bad, it's SO slow and is just such a bad app. Feels like it was made by some college students. Seriously look at other banks apps and take some notes because this needs a DRASTIC update.

No "generate secure code" button on galaxy s5! I don't seem to have this button, I have deleted and re-downloaded the app several times to see if this rectifies it but it doesn't! Has anyone else had this problem?!

Very basic App needs updating Great for checking balance but; can't see secure messages, can't see standing orders/direct debits setup. App needs updating.
