FlexT9 powered by Dragon is a four-in-one keyboard experience that puts you in the driver’s seat for communicating how you want – when you want. And only FlexT9 gives you the power to seamlessly switch between the Speak. Trace. Write. Tap. input modes as easily as it is to flip on a light switch! Read on below for a list of supported Android devices and instructions for making FlexT9 your default keyboard.

FlexT9 Four-in-One Keyboard At-a-Glance:

• Speak: leverages the power of Dragon Dictation to easily – and reliably - turn talk into text
• Trace: continuous touch input - just glide your finger from one letter to the next
• Write: use your finger to quickly draw anything you would want to type
• Tap: tap, tap, tap on the keyboard old school!

Once downloaded, to enable FlexT9 as your default keyboard follow these steps:
• Go to ‘Settings’ and choose the ‘Language & Keyboard’ tab then enable ‘FlexT9’ input
• Once complete, open a new text message and push and hold on the text input field (i.e. the body of a text message) and select ‘Input Type’
• From the ‘Select Input’ list, select FlexT9
• FlexT9 is now the default keyboard across the device

FlexT9 is available in English (US & UK), French, German, Italian, and Spanish and supports a variety of Android OS v2.1 and higher devices. I love this keyboard! I mostly use the trace mode which I like better than Swype. In fact, this app/input choices is a big reason why I don't want to switch to an iPhone.

I rarely write reviews, but this app is worth one. It "swypes" better than swype, voice recognition beats google voice (and that's a tough thing to do) and just plain works better than any other keyboard I've tried. I finally have the perfect input app for my Droid X!

got it from Amazon Appstore for free, but might be worth the money for making Swype-style typing available before Swype is out of beta. only one minor stupid complaint: the hash (#) is on the third page of keys. I thought everyone used it nowadays.

The jury is still out on this app. Glad I didn't have to pay for it and not like it like swiftkey. But just like swiftkey..it lags terribly. I'll finish a text and only half the words are on the screen and the gradually show. It needs arrows like my stock evo keyboard. The voice recognition is good but annoying sometimes. It wont say "Mall of Georgia" right no matter what. It keeps spelling out "loves her Georgia". No big deal but annoying. Wont check dislike yet but its headed that way.

Same company that owns Swype! FlexT9 is a HORRIBLE sounding name, but AWESOME keyboard! Why not something like Connect Type or TypeLine or QikTyper anything besides a Skynet Terminator model sounding #?

Nice The speech recognition is very good. Text prediction not as good as Swype, but still usable. Good job!

Best keyboard This is the best keyboard replacement by far. Have already purchased two previously and k9 surpasses by far in ease of use, accuracy and features. Feels like several keyboards in one. Wish I had found this one first. Brilliant work from a mature company in the field of input devices and speech recognition. Just feels professional and well built.

Long Time Swype User - Converted And yes, I realize the same company owns both apps.I like the integration of methods. Although people should be told there is a 9 mb download that follows the initial install.

Their speech-to-text used to be poor. But now it's excellent . Tip: it works better when you disable "Detect -end-of-speech." ( so-so Swyping).
