Foursquare

Our tastes are different, so why should we get the same search results? The new Foursquare learns what you like and leads you to places you’ll love.

Foursquare is all about searching and discovering great places, wherever you are in the world.

• Tell Foursquare your favorite things and it gets to know you. Every search is tailored to your tastes, your past ratings, and picks from friends and experts you trust.
• Your tastes can be very specific like “whiskey” or “salted caramel.” Or more general like “outdoor seating” or “used bookstores.”
• Leave tips to share your best discoveries. Pay it forward and earn expertise.
• Search for restaurants, coffee, nightlife, shops and more. See what’s nearby or plan ahead.
• When you arrive at a place, see insider tips: what’s good to order or something not to miss.
• Follow people and influencers whose tastes you trust, and their tips show first. Connect your Facebook and twitter accounts and see spots your friends have liked nearby.

User reviews of Foursquare
Foursquare social network, use of GPS, because of the nature of the social, very well done with many features, local info and friends. It could be used also to promote your marketing. La app di Foursquare, un social di geolocalizzazione, sia di posti che di persone, doveva essere mobile. Non alternativa ma complementare al navigatore, possibilità di utilizzo marketing, commerciale. Varie opzioni, condivisione e check-ins.

I used to luv this app. This was a great app. Used it to check in, get ideas for new things. But now, why there making use a second app to check in. It's a waste time. Hopefully they would bring back the old foursquare. And what happened to my badges??

I actually use it and it has promise--not there yet though Loved the original Foursquare and continue to use this to find out what's good wherever I go. I'm the kind who will check out Foursquare and TripAdvisor to look into reviews, especially when on the road. I prefer to go to places that are special to a city, not just a franchise. Used in this manner, I love it. I kind of see the purpose of Swarm but I guess I just don't get the bigger picture which separates the two. I am assuming that Foursquare will become a personal trip advisor which will be extremely handy if your friends are good curators of content and certainly handy for businesses who are playing to those who seek the yay or nay of friends.
