Its ok. needs ability to cut out background noise the mic picks up even in silence.

fabulous i'm a professional audio engineer. of all the apps i've tried (here and the Apple app store for the iPad), this is hands down the best. i use it to back up what my ears are hearing when mixing shows. "it's that 3.8k?" actually, it's 3.6k. every engineer that sees me using it asks about it. i paid for it because i wasn't enjoying the ads and because it's great.

It's nice, but there are better apps I will say that there is very little latency, and it's helpful when trying to pinpoint that pesky frequency. However, I found another app that does this, and much more. I'm not in the business of shilling for competing products, but it should suffice to say that there are better apps out there. I'd give it three-and-a-half stars if I could, because it does what it does well.

Average over 2 sec It would be great to see the "average over a few seconds" and a "peak hold" function
