Not a reliable app/tool - at a premium app price I have a Garmin 450 that I have used happily for years. I recently bought the Canada Topo Pro for my Samsung Note 3 for $9.99. I liked and used that app for the past few months. I read the Gaia comparison review on their web site so I paid the $22 and took it out on a recent 5 day backpacking trek through Lake Superior Provincial Park - big mistake! Pausing a track and then starting a new track crashes the app, the Facebook integration doesn't seem to work at all (it sends you in circles) and I don't know what my password is on Gaia Cloud and can't reset it myself. While the map quality is good the user interface and performance isn't as good as many free hiking apps. This is shockingly poor generation 1 type app that they are selling for premium prices. I want my money back.

This is a great app. There does however need to be some improvement made with downloaded maps. I downloaded a map area for a backpacking trip, and would have to stare at blank grid squares most of the time.
