Helped! With my semi-broken charger and frustration with slow charging ... mystery now solved! Oh, and if you feel bored, just check your other usb cables just to see how krappy they are ... sadly, even if you payed a lot for them :(

Wrong values reported I have a physical usb charge meter and vakues reported by app far from reality. Like after switch from 2A crarger to 1A charger it displays 1200 which far away from 690mA. Also other apps report current much more close to a real one. You should cslculate current based on battery changes.

Max and average read the same, "now" always reads 1698, even if max only reads 300. I'm seeing the same thing as others on Samsung Galaxy Note 2. I'll change rating when fixed. Update: Works better on my Galaxy Note 2 now, but doesn't work at all on my Galaxy Note 10.1. Reports only 100-200 mAH while the device is charging at 2100 mAH or better, as evidenced by the stock battery level indicator climbing rapidly even while I'm doing a game. I'm adding star for the phone fix, and hope the tablet issue is fixed soon. And yes, I see that it's not on the list of supported devices, but it's a common device and very similar to the Note 2, and it has worked in the past.
