Global Photo Project

What do you see outside your window?
What's on your desk?
What do you do to relax everyday?

Global Photo Project inspires you to think about the world around you in a new light. Every day, new prompts like these are posted, and you're invited to exercise your creativity and respond to each prompt by snapping a photo, writing a caption and uploading it. After doing so, you'll be able to see all the responses submitted by people around the globe. Bring a sense of wonder - you'll be surprised at how people respond to the same prompt in many different ways around the world!

Q: How do I submit a photo?
A: From the main screen, click on one of the prompts and then you will be taken to the "Take Photo" section. Once you click on the camera button in the middle of the page, you will be prompted to take a photo. After taking a photo, you can either submit it or retake it.

Q: How do I view others' photos?
There are three sections to view photos: Browse, Text and Map. In Browse, you can scroll through a grid of photos taken by people around the world, arranged in no particular order. In Text, you can flip through descriptions of images and tap on those you find fascinating to bring up the associated photo. In Map, you can view photos superimposed on a map based on where they are taken. You can zoom in on particular locations in the map to see more photos from that location. No matter which way you choose to view photos, when you tap on a photo, it will bring up the image in full-screen and show the date, description and location where it was taken.

Q: I have a question/comment/suggestion that is not listed on this FAQ. Who should I direct it to?
A: Please get in touch with me at [email protected] I am continually working to improve and update this app, so your questions and feedback are very much appreciated! Also remember to check back regularly for updates as I will be pushing out a new update every fortnight or so.
