Google Voice Locations

Google Voice Locations

Open Source Google Voice Locations adds the convenience and flexibility of location awareness to Google Voice, letting you manage which numbers your incoming call is routed to based on your real-time physical location.

While by itself Google Voice defaults an incoming call to ring all numbers that have been connected with it, the addition of Google Voice Locations ensures that only numbers you’ve associated with your present location ring for incoming calls. If your lack of control over Google Voice’s calling preferences has been holding you back from enjoying the opportunities it offers, then Google Voice Locations is the app for you!

* Have incoming calls ring where you are and nowhere else

* Never worry about missing calls because of accidental call interception

* Choose the number you want to call from with the Callback Dialer

* Quick Ring settings allow you to instantly view and update Google Voice call settings on the go

User reviews of Google Voice Locations
This is a great app but is in serious need of updating. It's Open Sourced so a good dev should just run with it. It needs to be updated for newer versions of Android, needs an "off" switch (like right now I have to delete all settings when on vacation so it won't keep turning my phones back on), and it needs to use Google authentication services instead of username/password. Stripping out the "coming soon" stuff that isn't needed would be good too! Still, it's a great app, it just hangs every now and then on 2.3 and the only way I notice is when my phones don't ring when they should. A force close fixes it.

Works for the first 10 minutes, then after being indoors, agps puts you 1/4 to half mile away from where you are changing your settings to the everywhere else field. An option to disable agps and do nothing would make this app awesome. uses very little battery life too. 2% from one 18 hour day. needs polish, and I feel the author needs to nail its main purpose 100% before anding all the noted "Coming soon features" I dont really see the need for a dialer or contacts integration in this app. 5 out of 10, however it is free!

Better then Google's I used the BlackBerry 10 port for a year because Google didn't have an official voice app for BB10. Now that I am back to Android, I realized this one is better. And the fact it's free software (GPL) is even better.
